The standard Wake-up Interrupt Controller (WIC) included with Cortex®-M3 DesignStart™ Eval (and integrated within the flattened Cortex-M3 integration level of hierarchy) requires a free-running clock.
If you license the Cortex-M3 processor, you can choose to replace this design with a latch-based version that improves the standby power in the lowest power state. It is not possible to replace the WIC or observe its internal state when you use Cortex-M3 DesignStart Eval.
