2.2 Manually obtaining a license from the Arm® web licensing portal
To obtain a license for an Arm® product you can use the Arm License Manager utility to guide you through the required steps.
To manually obtain a license:
Start Eclipse for DS-5.
Select Help > Arm License Manager from the Eclipse for DS-5 menu to display the Arm License Manager dialog
box as the figure shows.

Click Add License… to display the Add License dialog box

In the Select License Type
page, select Use a license file, license server, serial number,
or activation code. Then click Next.
In the Obtain a new license
page, select Manually obtain a license via www.arm.com website
(advanced). Then click Next.

Select the Network interface to which you want the license to be
locked, then click Next.

Click the URL in step 2 of the Obtain License dialog box. This opens your default web
browser and takes you to the Arm Login page.
Either log into your account, or register for an Arm account.
After you have logged into your Arm account, click Generate in
the Resources, and follow the online instructions.
See the documentation available on the portal for information on how
to use it to obtain a license.
Click Finish to close this dialog box and return to the Arm
License Manager dialog box.
After you have obtained your license from the web licensing portal, save it
If you are using a node-locked license, you can install it and configure your
licensing environment using the License Manager.
Windows floating license server administrators must follow the procedure to
install the server license.
