You can enable program flow prediction by setting the Z bit in the CP15 c1 Control Register to 1. See c1, Control Register for details. Reset disables program flow prediction, invalidates the BTB, and resets the GHB to a known state. No software intervention is required to prepare the prediction logic before enabling program flow prediction.
