The processor debug unit is programmed using the APB slave interface. In a twin-CPU configuration, each CPU has its own APB slave interface and associated registers that operate independently of the other CPU. See Table 12.3 for a complete list of memory-mapped debug registers accessible using the APB slave interface. Some features of the debug unit that you can access using the memory-mapped registers are:
instruction address comparators for triggering breakpoints, see Breakpoint Value Registers and Breakpoint Control Registers
data address comparators for triggering watchpoints, see Watchpoint Value Registers and Watchpoint Control Registers
a bidirectional Debug Communication Channel (DCC), see Debug communications channel
all other state information associated with the debug unit.
