10.4.10. Breakpoint Extended Value Registers

The DBGBXVR characteristics are:


Holds a value for use in VMID matching for BRP that supports Context ID comparison.

Usage constraints

Used in conjunction with a DBGBCR, see Breakpoint Control Registers, and Breakpoint Value Registers. Each DBGBXVR is associated with a DBGBCR and DBGBVR to form a Breakpoint Register Pair (BRP). DBGBXVRn is associated with DBGBCRn and DBGBVRn to form BRPn.


The processor implements 2 BRPs that can be used for Context ID comparisons, and is specified by the DBGDIDR.CTX_CMPs field, see Debug Identification Register.

VMID value. Used to compare with the Virtual Machine ID (VMID) field, held in the Virtualization Translation Table Base Register (VTTBR). See the ARM Architecture Reference Manual for more information.
