16.3.3. Forced migration

Forced migration deals with the problem of long running software threads that do not sleep, or do not sleep very often. The scheduler periodically checks the current thread running on each LITTLE core. If the tracked load exceeds the up migration threshold the task is transferred to a big core, as in Figure 16.7.
