13.7.13. SYS_TMPNAM (0x0d)

Returns a temporary name for a file identified by a system file identifier.


On entry, r1 contains a pointer to a three word argument block:

word 1

is a pointer to a buffer.

word 2

is a target identifier for this filename.

word 3

contains the length of the buffer. The length should be at least the value of L_tmpnam on the host system.


On exit, r0 contains:

  • 0 if the call is successful

  • –1 if an error occurs.

The buffer pointed to by r1 contains the filename.
