5.1. About memory mapping

Memory mapping is disabled by default when you first connect to your debug target, that is all memory is treated as RAM. If you are working with a suitable target you can enable memory mapping and then configure the memory using the Map tab in the Process Control pane. The memory map is usually configured in a BCD file that you associate with the connection (see RealView Debugger v1.8 Target Configuration Guide for more details).
