By default, the Watch pane updates automatically. To toggle the automatic update of the Watch pane:
Right-click in the Watch pane to display the context menu.
Select Automatic Update from the context menu.
A tick is displayed for the option when it is enabled.
Automatic updating refreshes the Watch pane when program execution stops at a point in your image, such as at a breakpoint.
To freeze the contents of the Watch pane, disable automatic updating. You can manually update the pane contents if required.
Freezing the contents of the Watch pane enables you to compare the contents with those in a second Watch pane.
