7.4.7. Capturing commands and output

You can capture the commands you enter at the CLI, and any messages generated by RealView Debugger to a text file. RealView Debugger provides the following commands to enable you to do this:

Some commands and macros accept window or file IDs. Window IDs identify windows that you have opened with the VOPEN command, and so are only available when you are using the RealView Debugger GUI.

If you have a journal or log file open, you can specify the appropriate ID, so that text is sent directly to the file. You can also direct output to STDIO. If you are using the RealView Debugger GUI, this is displayed in the StdIO tab of the Output pane, and any open STDIO log file.
