RealView Debugger enables you to connect to OCD-based emulators running on remote hosts across a network. This requires that you use Multi-ICE direct connect. To do this you must:
configure the target description on the remote workstation so that it is visible to users across the network
create a new CONNECTION entry
in the board file stored on the local workstation and use this to
specify the hostname of the remote workstation.
Multi-ICE direct connect supports only ARM7TDMI and DSP targets for remote connections. Also, ETM and tracing is not supported on remote connections using Multi-ICE direct connect.

When installing RealView Developer Suite, you must choose the Custom option and install support for the Motorola 56621 DSP. Do this to ensure that the required files are available to enable connection using Multi-ICE direct connect or RealView ICE.
