  4. Enter a new configuration name for the Target Access.

For example, for a RealView ICE Target Access that provides connections to DSPs, you might call it RealView-ICE_DSP

    Note

The configuration name must not contain spaces, and can have a maximum of 128 characters.

  5. Select Copy an existing configuration:.

The current configuration list is enabled. This configuration list contains all your current Target Access configurations, including any that you have disabled in the Connection Properties (see Enabling or disabling a board file entry).

  6. Select the existing Target Access configuration that you want to use as the basis for your new Target Access.

    For this example, select RealView-ICE.

  7. Click OK to create the configuration.

A new Target Access appears in the Connection Control window with the name you specified. The new Target Access currently has the same configuration as the original Target Access. However, a copy of the configuration file is created in your home directory, and the filename is given a numerical suffix, starting at zero.

For RealView ICE, the configuration filename is rvi_0.rvc.

  8. You must now configure the Target Access:

  9. Configure the connection properties as required (see Examples of configuring settings at the CONNECTION level).
