The board file might reference several other configuration files, for example the RDI definitions, *.rbe, and the Board/Chip definition files, *.bcd., to form the complete configuration. This relationship is shown in Figure 2.1.

The RV-msg, ISSM, JTAG, and RDI configuration files contain the remaining information required to configure a specific debug target. These files are not structured in the same way as the board files. They use the format required by the debug target that they are used to configure, for example, the RV-msg configurations are structured as XML files.
