The Pin Capture block (PCAPT) within the ARM1176JZF-S test chip contains registers for configuring and monitoring pins on the ARM1176JZF-S processor. The PCAPT registers are primarily used to validate the ARM1176JZF-S processor. Only the subset of registers that are required to configure the CT1176JZF-S are described here.
The PCAPT address allocation is 1MB in the range 0x3F200000 to 0x3F2FFFFF.
Several addresses within this range select registers reserved for ARM1176JZF-S processor
validation. Accesses to these addresses will have unpredictable
results and may result in a system failure. See Table 4.5 for the reserved
address locations.
