4.4. Setting the Real-Time System Model options

The first panel in the run configuration window is the Real-Time System Model panel. Use this mechanism to define the hardware model for the simulated run.

From the Model drop-down menu, you can choose any of the predefined ARM models to run on, or select the custom option and use your own.

The following pre-defined models are available:

If none of these predefined options match your target architecture, you can use your own customized RTSM to test against. Select Custom from the drop-down menu and enter the directory location of your RTSM file. You can use the Browse... button to explore your directories for the target file. You need a licensed copy of RealView System Generator to create custom RTSMs.

Note

The ARM Profiler works with RTSMs created using RealView System Generator 4.0 Service Pack 1 and newer.

Although it is possible to build a multiprocessor RTSM using RealView System Generator, the ARM Profiler does not support them at this time.
