Inline assembler support in the compiler

The inline assembler supports ARM assembly language only.

The embedded assembler can be used for Thumb and Thumb-2 support.

Most ARMv6 instructions are supported by the inline assembler, including the complete set of ARMv6 Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) instructions.

Most ARMv5 instructions are supported by the inline assembler, including generic coprocessor instructions.
