ARM Compiler toolchain Linker Reference

`--shared`

This option creates a System V (SysV) shared object.

Usage

You must use this option with --fpic and --sysv.

Note

By default, this option disables unused section elimination. Use the --remove option to re-enable unused section elimination when building a shared object.
