2.2.4. Configuring the Eclipse Update Manager

To configure the Eclipse Update Manager with the location of the update site directory for the Shader Development Studio plug-in:

  1. Start Eclipse.

  2. Select Help → Install New Software ... from the Eclipse menu bar.

    The Available Software and Add-ons dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click the Available Software Sites tab

    The dialog box displays the software that is available for installation. See Figure 2.1:

  4. Click Add Site to add a new Eclipse update site.

    The Add Site dialog box is displayed. See Figure 2.2:

  5. Enter a name for the site. See Figure 2.3:

  6. Click Local and browse to the location of the Shader Development Studio update site directory.

    In this example, the Shader Development Studio update site directory is located in:

               C:\Program Files\ARM\Mali Developer Tools\Mali GPU Shader Development Studio vm.n\updatesite
    
  7. Click OK.

    The Add Site dialog box is updated with the location of the Shader Development Studio update site directory in the Location edit field.

  8. Click OK.

    The Preferences dialog box is updated with the location of the Shader Development Studio update site. See Figure 2.4:

  9. Click on the Shader Development Studio to highlight it.

  10. Select Test Connection to verify that the update site is now available.

    Note

    If the connection is not available then repeat the procedure Configuring the Eclipse Update Manager .

  11. If the connection is available then select OK, see the next section to install the Shader Development Studio.
