How do I port my application code to my target hardware?

By default, the tools makes a number of assumptions about your target memory and I/O support. To produce an embedded application, you will need to modify this behaviour so that memory layout matches your real hardware and so that your system peripherals are used for C library I/O functions.
Details of how to carry out such modifications depend upon the tools you are using:
- ADS users should refer to Application Note 107 - Embedded Software Development with ADS v1.2.
- Users of RVDS 4.0 and earlier should refer to the chapter called - "Embedded Software Development" in the RealView Compilation Tools Developer Guide.
- For users of the ARM Compiler toolchain shipped with RVDS 4.1 and DS-5 the information about "Embedded Software Development" can be found in the Developing Software for ARM Processors documentation.
