TOOL PATH NOT DEFINED ERROR

SYMPTOMS

Help. I receive the following error when I try to compile my project with uVision:

Tool path not defined: Bad or Missing C:KEILTOOLS.INI

What's wrong?

CAUSE

This error message is typically caused when you have selected a chip from the device database that is not supported by the tools you have. For example, if you have licensed the C166 development tools and you select a 251 device for your project, you will receive this error message.

RESOLUTION

Select a chip that you are certain is supported.
