QUESTION

There are 3 red dots beside some of the files and groups in my project. What do they mean?

ANSWER

uVision allows you to set options at the target level, the group level, and the file level. The three red dots indicate that options have been set for the target, group, or file indicated.

When you create a new project, the dots will initially only appear next to the target. If you change the options for a group or file, the dots will appear beside the altered group or file.

Note that once you have altered the options for a group or file the red dots will remain even if you change the settings for that file or group back to the defaults.
