QUESTION

What HEX file types does OH251 create?

ANSWER

OH251 creates Intel HEX-80 files as well as HEX-386 files. An Intel HEX-80 file contains only records with a 16-bit address offset. Programs that have code at addresses outside the range 0x0000-0xFFFF should use HEX-386.

To create an Intel HEX file with OH251:

OH251 object_file HEX

To create an Intel HEX-386 file with OH251:

OH251 object_file H386
