How do I use the Arithmetic Accelerator for the DS80C390?


You will need to check Use On-Chip Arithmetic Accelerator in the Target Options dialog box. To do this:

  1. Select the DS80C390 chip as your target from the Device Database. If you did not do this when starting your project, right click on the Target Name in the Project Window and choose Select Device Target for Target. Double-click to open the Dallas Semicondutor list and double-click on DS80C390. Then, click OK.
  2. Right-click on the Target Name again and select Options for Target.
  3. Check Use On-Chip Arithmetic Accelerator. Click OK.
  4. Build your project.

To view the Math (Arithmetic) Accelerator in the uVision2 Debugger:

  1. After building your project, click on the Debugger icon to enter the uVision2 Debugger.
  2. Select Math Accelerator from the Peripherial menu.
  3. Be sure to check Periodic Window Update on the View menu.
  4. Run your program.
