USING HVAR OR XVAR GENERATES BAD EXTS SEQUENCES

SYMPTOMS

When using the HVAR macro to assign values to fixed memory locations, the C166 Compiler may generate incorrect code. Specifically, an EXTS instruction sequence is generated that applies to too many subsequent instructions.

RESOLUTION

A later version of the C166 Compiler (Version 4.20g and later) corrects this problem. You may download the latest updates from the Keil Website.
