SIMULATION TIMING OF SIGNAL FUNCTIONS

QUESTION

I need to simulate a sequence of values on a input pin. How do I compute the simulation time clock cycles a signal function will take to execute?

ANSWER

uVision provides a powerful scripting language that allows you to create complex input signals. The scripting language is identical to the C Programming Language with a few exceptions.

Under simulation, when a signal function runs, simulation is halted. This means that the simulation time (in instruction cycles) stops, so that the code between calls to swatch (twatch etc.) occurs in zero seconds of simulated time.
