I'm working on a simple project that has just one source file named TEST.c. When I try to build my Target, I receive the following error:
"Build Target 'Target1' compiling TEST.c Target has no object modules Target not created"
What may be causing that error?
Go to Options for "Source Group 1 - Properties" and you will see that you have the Generate Assembler SRC file option checked and Assembly SRC file unchecked.
This causes that error.
The reasoning is: you are generating a .SRC file, the IDE is trying to create an .OBJ file, but you are not assembling it (the Assembly SRC file option is disabled). The IDE expects the output of the assembly process over the .SRC file, but you are not assembling it. That's why you are receiving this error message.
You may disable the Generate Assembler SRC file Option OR enable both Generate Assembler SRC file and Assembly SRC file options.
