QUESTION

I'm trying to work with XRAM available in the ADuC832 and ADuC834 chips and I see some strange settings available under options for target.

The Use On-Chip XRAM check box feature shows an improper XRAM range for the ADuC834 (16Mb of XRAM) under options for target. There is no Use On-Chip XRAM check box available for the ADuC832 and in fact this chip has XRAM.

Is there a fix for that?

ANSWER

Yes. A fix is available under the attachments section.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by incorrect device information in the device database file UV2.CDB.

RESOLUTION

This problem is corrected in the C51 V7.02b release.
