QUESTION

I am running Windows98, WindowsME, or Windows NT4 and I installed the USB Security Key like the Release note says. The Compiler still reports 'WARNING 500: Missing security device'? Why doesn't the dongle work?

ANSWER

The security device does not work on Windows NT4 or older.

On Windows 98 or Windows ME, the following may help:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click on System and choose the Device Manager.
  3. Look up USB Token in the list and double-click on it to open its Properties.
  4. Open the Driver tab and click on Update Driver.

Windows assigns the correct driver to the dongle device.
