QUESTION

I am using the STMicroelectronic uPSD32xx, uPSD33xx, and uPSD34xx devices and I am wondering about the available on-chip memory spaces. Is there a way to configure the XDATA and CODE memory space automatically using the uVision IDE?

ANSWER

The memory areas of the uPSD32xx, uPSD33xx, and uPSD34xx devices are highly configurable using the PSDSoft configuration tool. Since the memory areas can be configured differently for different applications, developers, and target systems, it is not possible to use a fixed configuration like what is found on most devices.

Once the device's memory configuration is setup using PSDSoft, you may enter that information in the Options for Target - Target Dialog under Off-chip Code Memory and Off-chip XData Memory.
