VERIFY OPTIONS WITH UPSD DEVICES
Applies to: ULINK USB-JTAG Debugger
Information in this article applies to:
- ULINK USB-JTAG Adapter
- ULINK2 USB-JTAG Adapter
There are two verify options in the the ST-uPSD ULINK
Driver setup dialog. Should I select both options or is it
sufficient to select only one?
Both verify options should be selected because they are
used at different times and they check different things.
Verify Programming in the Flash Programming box
specifies whether or not the flash contents should be verified
after flash programming. The content of the flash sectors is
specified in the PSDsoft project, no matter if the data can be
accessed by the 8051 CPU or not.
Verify Application in ROM in the Debug - Misc box
specifies whether or not the flash contents should be verified when
the debugger starts. The flash content is read through the 8051 CPU
in this case. This options checks if the complete application is
accessable with the 8051 CPU. The flash sector select logic, the
code banking logic, and the flash content is tested that way.
