QUESTION

On my MCB2300 evaluation board, the Blinky example works fine when data is sent out COM1.  But in the serial.c modeule, when I change the:

#define UART1

to:

#define UART0

the program builds properly but I get no output on COM0.  What can cause this?

ANSWER

Your MCB2300 board has the RST Via COM0 (J9) and the ISP Via COM0  (J10) jumpers installed.  You must remove these jumpers to use COM0 for serial output.
