Unfortunately, since the PL192 is designed to accept only level-triggered interrupts we have no standard method that would allow it to accept edge-triggered interrupts.
You could latch the interrupt before it reaches the VIC, ensuring that the latched interrupt can still be cleared by the usual write to the peripheral.
