Can AXI-based ARM cores generate bursts across 1KB boundaries?

Answer

Yes, as this is compliant with the AXI protocol.  If a e.g. DRAM does not support 1KB boundary crossing, then it is the responsibility of the AXI memory controller to detect/handle 1KB-crossing bursts appropriately.
