How can I obtain development tool donations from ARM for use in my school?

Applies to: University Program

Answer

With the acquisition of Keil, ARM offers the RealView Microcontroller Development Kit for ARM-Powered microcontrollers.  It contains full versions of an ARM assembler, compiler, and linker, as well as Keil's debugger and IDE.  It is recommended that students and universities download the free evaluation version of the tools.  There is a 32K byte object code/data limit, and the tools require a monthly license renewal.  Because they contain full simulation models for peripherals around various microcontrollers, there's no need for hardware in some cases.

A limited number of ARM hardware development platforms are available for donation.  Please see the University Program homepage for a list of legacy ARM Development Tools available for donation.  Please be aware that shipments can only be made outside the United States if the university agrees to pay international shipping charges.  For this, we would need a valid FedEx or DHL shipping account number to charge.

All donations are subject to approval.
