How do I enable/disable semihosting on ISSM and RTSM models?

Applies to: RealView Development Suite (RVDS)

Answer

Unlike other RVD targets, ISSM and RTSM models do not use the 'Semihosting' tick box in the Connection Properties window to enable and disable semihosting.  Both the ISSMs and the RTSMs use a separate 'semihosting-enable' model parameter to enable and disable semihosting. The model parameter is set to either 'true' or 'false'.

You can modify the 'semihosting-enable' parameter by launching the 'Connect to Target' window in RVD under the 'Target' menu.

The following steps are required:

  1) Add a new configuration to the ISSM or RTSM connection or right-click on an existing configuration and select 'Configure...'

  2) Select a model

  3) For ISSMs, set the parameter accordingly.  For RTSMs, scroll to the 'coretile.core' component and set the parameter accordingly.

Note that Semihosting is enabled on the models by default.
