How can I use a Cortex M3 model as a Cortex M0?

Applies to: Fast Models

Answer

The Fast Models does not include (as of version 8.1) a Cortex-M0 model.

However the Cortex-M3 model is available, and it contains all the features (and more) of a Cortex-M0 model.

Code compiled for a Cortex-M0 target will run on a Cortex-M3 model as it would do on a cortex-M0. You must just ensure that you are not using any features of the Cortex-M3 that are not available on Cortex-M0.

For a list of those differences, you can refer to Appendix C of http://infocenter.arm.com/help/topic/com.arm.doc.ddi0419c/index.html
