Does ARM Compiler support inline assembler and embedded assembler for ARMv8?

Applies to: ARMv8-A, DS-5

Answer

ARM Compiler 6 uses armclang, which is different from the armcc used in the ARM Compiler 5 and earlier.

armclang supports GNU style integrated assembler. However it does not support the embedded assembler, which armcc supports for non-ARMv8 targets.
