What version number should ARM968E-S have?

Chip designers who license the ARM968E-S IP for inclusion in their chip should use the most up-to-date version of the deliverable RTL bundle. At the time of writing this article, that version is:


The version number "r0p2" in this part number is in fact an administrative error, as all of the contents of this bundle have a version number of "r0p1".

Hence the "r0p2" RTL is an exact match for the "r0p1" versions of separately delivered ARM968E-S components such as the Design Simulation Model (DSM) etc.

In reference to ARM968E-S, "r0p2" should be considered as a synonym for "r0p1".
