When trying to run runDS-tc.sh, en error message 'Connection refused' is displayed

Applies to: mbed Device Server

Answer

When you try to run runDS-tc.sh, the following error message is printed on the console:

We couldn’t load configuration data from the server at ’local-host:9510’; retrying.
(Error: Connection refused.)

This means that the Terracotta server is not running on local host.

Change the path to the server according to one of the following:

  1. Run the Device Server as follows: $.runDS-tc.sh server:port
  2. Set the server URL in the following location in the conf/ehcache-tc.xml: <terracottaConfig url="server:port" rejoin="true"/>

By default, this is set to "localhost:9510".

Terracotta BigMemory MAX documentation includes an installation guide. For more information, see www.terracotta.org/documentation/4.1/bigmemorymax/overview.
