Semihosting is a mechanism that captures I/O requests made by code running on the target (typically library code), and communicates these to the host system for handling. For example application printfs will by default appear within the debugger console window. Semihosting may be enabled or disabled from the Debug tab of the RVD Register Window.
You may wish to disable semihosting (set=FALSE) when debugging an application from flash, as semihosting uses one of the cores hardware breakpoint resources.
