Why does RVD fail to write to same flash location twice?

If you attempt successive writes to the same flash memory location by directly editing a location in the Memory pane or by Downloading a file into memory RVD can appear to hang. The flash memory control window dialog displays "Initializing Flash Routine"

Select the control bar at the left hand edge of the memory pane and select Update Window now from the pane menu.

This will allow the flash programming operation to complete.

Minimise the main RVD window to access the flash memory control window which should now show that the flash write has completed. Click on the close button to dismiss this window.
