How do I exit the Flash Memory Control Window in RVD?

Applies to: RealView Developer Kit (RVDK) for OKI, RealView Developer Kit (RVDK) for ST, RealView Development Suite (RVDS)

Answer

If you wish to abort a flash memory write (or an error occurs in the write process) you should exit the flash memory window using the Cancel button (in the WriteEraseCancel DetailsCancel All group).

If you exit the flash control window using the standard Close button the debugger may show an incorrect buffered memory view which indicates the flash has been written correctly.

If there is any doubt about the coherency of the memory view in RVD disconnect and reconnect to the target to force an update.
