What does the menu option: Debug -> Memory/Register Operations -> Flash Memory Control allow me to do in RVD?

Applies to: RealView Developer Kit (RVDK) for OKI, RealView Development Suite (RVDS)

Answer

The Debug -> Memory/Register Operations -> Flash Memory Control option in RVD will open the Flash Control pane, but will not connect to any particular Flash device on the system. All buttons in this pane will (correctly) fail with a "No Flash Selected" type error. Therefore, accessing this pane from the menu has no particular function other than to peruse the Flash activity log in this window.

However, it is possible to open this pane indirectly to program your flash device using a Flash MEthod (FME) file. For more information please see the FAQ: How do I program flash memory with RealView Debugger?
