Can I decrease the time taken by RVDK for OKI to build my application?

Applies to: RealView Developer Kit (RVDK) for OKI

Answer

RVDK for OKI uses RVI-ME as a dongle. A security check taking several seconds will be performed for every source file which is compiled or assembled, and this can have a noticeable effect on the build time of large projects. If you build from the command line rather than RVD, you can improve build performance by specifying multiple source files per invocation of the compiler, perhaps using -via files. Thus for example you could change

armcc -c file1.c
armcc -c file2.c
armcc -c file3.c

to

armcc -c file1.c file2.c file3.c
