Can a piece of code be locked into the cache?

Applies to: ARM720T

Answer

No. This feature is provided on newer ARM cores, (e.g ARM920T), but not on the ARM720T. The only form of lockdown is a very primitive lockdown of all 8K, which is done by turning the cache off. If the cache is off, the processor continues to do cache lookups, but never puts new values into the cache.
