Can I use my DSM on my 64-bit machine?

Applies to: Processor Cores

Answer

You can still run the 32-bit version of the simulator with the 32-bit DSM on a 64-bit operating system such as Solaris 7 or 8 or HP-UX 11, with the operating system running the simulation in 32-bit mode.

Alternatively, there are 64-bit variants available for a limited range of models. However, it is unlikely that you would need to run a 64-bit simulation unless the simulation’s memory image will exceed 4Gb.

We are looking at extending support for 64 bit simulators in the future. For further information about 64-bit models, please contact ARM.
