We've just received a new DSM: do I need to make any changes to my simulation environment to use it?

Applies to: Processor Cores

Answer

You should make sure that you use the wrapper supplied with the new model. Models and wrappers are generated from the ModelGen tools as a pair and using an old wrapper with a new model can result in un-reliable simulations.

You will also need to set up the appropriate environment variable (DIR_corename) to point where you have installed the DSM and the LMC_HOME environment variable to where the Swift model resides. Depending on the DSM, you may also need to change certain generics. All this is described in the documentation supplied with the DSM.
