I cannot see my DSTREAM / RealView ICE unit in the network with the RVConfig Browse button
Applies to: DSTREAM, RealView ICE and Trace (RVI / RVT)
This can be caused by several reasons:
The DSTREAM / RealView ICE (RVI) unit hasn't booted correctly. For more information on RVI units, see the FAQ entry: What does RealView ICE do in its boot sequence? / The RealView ICE boot sequence doesn't finish / LED B doesn't stop blinking. For DSTREAM units, the STATUS LED will fail to illuminate. If the plastic cover on the underside of the DSTREAM unit is removed and a red LED can be seen illuminated then the DSTREAM unit has failed to obtain an TCP/IP address from a DHCP server.
The DSTREAM / RVI unit is on a different subnet from the computer. In this case, the UDP broadcast packets used to detect the DSTREAM / RVI units on the network are filtered by the routers between the two subnets.
In this second case you need to type the name or IP address of your DSTREAM/RVI unit directly in the box. Another possibility is to change your network configuration to have both the DSTREAM/RVI unit and the computer in the same subnet.
