How important is it that a sequence of locked transactions does not cross a 4k byte boundary?

Applies to: AXI

Answer

The AXI protocol does allow for a sequence of locked transactions to cross a 4k byte boundary, but it is recommended that masters do not perform such operations. It is possible that some implementations of AXI interconnect will not support locked accesses that cross a 4k byte boundary as it adds a significant level of complexity to the interconnect.
