Why does my CT11MPCore have a red PCB?

Applies to: CT11MPCore

Answer

We generally differentiate between our development boards by the colour they are built with. A red PCB indicates that the board is a prototype and green boards indicate that the board is a production release.  However, the first production batch of the CT11MPCore were built with a red PCB.  These are normal production quality boards, and there is no issue with quality or functionality of these boards.

The revision of this board can be checked if there are any doubts.  Simply hold the board with the topside HDRZ connector nearest to you and the revision information is in copper on the PCB, it should read HPI-0146C for a production board.
